The Nasarawa State Government said it is adequately prepared to embark on massive urban and rural developmental progremmes and project across the state to make lives more meaningful to the people of the state.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of the state made the pledged while speaking in Gudi, when he paid homage to the traditional ruler of Gudi (the Sarkin Gudi) Alhaji Sule Bawa in his Palace in company of some officials of the state.

Speaking through the Secretary to the Government of the State, Alhaji Aliyu Tijjani, Gov. Sule disclosed that the state government has already mapped out strategies towards embarking on meaning developmental projects and programmes.

According to him, the projects and programmes include the provision of basic infrastructure and social amenities to include urban and rural roads, improvement in education with particular emphasis on girl child education, agriculture, youths and women empowerment, healthcare delivery service, environmental protection, water supplies and electricity among others.

He stated that all the projects lined up for execution were in line with campaign promises to the people of the state, adding that his administration determined to live up to its covenants with the people of the state.

Gov. Sule used the occasion to admonish the people of the state to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another, saying that since peace is the major catalyst for meaningful social-economic development they should strictly imbibe such virtues to make the delivery of development projects and programmes possible.

To the farmers and herders in the state, Gov. Sule implored them to embrace peaceful co-existence with a view to making agricultural production realizable, adding that they should always see themselves as partners in progress not rivals

He used the occasion to solicit for more support, prayers and encouragement to his administration and that of President Muhammadu Buhari to enable them take both the state and country to the next level.

Responding the Sarkin Gudi Alhaji Sule Bawa who is the biological father of the Governor thanked the Governor and his team for the visit and prayed for their success in taking the state to the next level.
