PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has assured that his administration would focus on health, education and that he would require the support of well-to-do individuals in the country to achieve success in these areas.
The President stated this recently when he received the former Ambassador of the United States of America to the United Nations, Mr. Andrew Young accompanied by the board of Emeka Offor Foundation in Nigeria.
President Buhari who acknowledged the attainment of three years without a recorded polio incident by his administration with local and international support also said it was something not only to cherish, but one that also required sustained vigilance.
He commended the social and humanitarian activities of the Sir Emeka Offor, especially in the areas of education and health.
In his remarks, Ambassador Young expressed happiness with the Buhari administration’s effort towards polio eradication.
He also commended the President’s leadership of the country, saying at a time when Nations of the world were pulling apart.
“We are happy that Nigeria is stable and secured under you, we will continue working with Nigeria because we consider ourselves as part of the family”.
