Plateau State House of Assembly has unveiled the cabinet list of twenty three (23) commissioner nominees forwarded to it for screening by Governor Simon Bako Lalong.
The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ayuba Abok read the list of the nominees to include Victor Lapang, Elizabeth Wapmuk, Yakubu Dati, Sylvanus Tapgun Dankano and Barrister Chrisantus Ahmadu at the plenary on Tuesday.
Others, according to the Speaker included Ibrahim Sa’ad Bello, Barrister Rimven Bitrus Zulfa, Dr. Nimkong Lar Ndam, Dayyabu Garga, Dr. Istifanus Finangwai, Tamakat Weli, Regina Soemlat, Kakmena Goteng Audu, Usman Yakubu Idi, Dakur Jude Eli and Sylvester Wallangko.
Also on the list were Dung Musa Gyang, Pam Botmang, Jerry Werr, Muhammad Muhammad Abubakar, Sambo Rebecca Adar, Dan Manjang and Abe Aku.
THE NIGERIA STANDARD reports that no date has been given for the screening of the commissioner nominees.
Meanwhile, of the 23 man list of the commissioner nominees, over 75% of them are returning members of the State Executive Council having served in the first stint of the rescue administration in the state.
They include Dayyabu Gargaa the immediate past Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, Chrisantus Ahmadu, Victor Lapang, Yakubu Dati, Tamakat Walie, Dan Manjang and Pam Botmang, amongst other.
In another development, the Plateau State House of Assembly has passed into law a bill to provide for the management of funds of the House, also known as the “Autonomy Bill.
The law, according to our Correspondent is an adopted bill that was earlier passed by the National Assembly and signed by President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that it was the first bill to be passed by the 9th Assembly since its inauguration this year.
