THE Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abok  Ayuba has promised adequate security support to Federal establishments in the state.

Rt. Hon. Abok made the promise when he received the Governing Council of the National Veterinary Research Institute Vom on a courtesy visit, in his office.

The Speaker pointed out that it is the hope of the 9th Assembly under his leadership to visit all Federal government agencies situated in the state to have a close working relationship.

While responding to the demand of the governing council said, the state legislature will engage the appropriate authority to ensure that the institute is safe to deliver its mandate.

The chairman of the Governing Council, Mr. Daniel Martin who led other members of the board on the visit, apologized to the state Assembly for visiting late despite the inauguration of the board a year  and half ago.

He appealed to the state government to assist the institute in the area of security to check the activities of intruders.

While speaking during the visit the member representing Langtang North Central Hon. Nanbol Daniel Listick applauded the institute for creating a conducive environment for research work saying government can take the advantage of the environmentally friendly scenery of the NVRI to host seminars and workshops.

The climax of the visit was the presentation of a compendium containing the institute profile to the Speaker.
