THE Plateau State House of Assembly has debunked the news going round that its inability to sit on Tuesday last week to complete the screening of the commissioner nominees were because of the state government inability to pay their allowances.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Information and member representing Pankshin South constituency Hon. Philip Dasun disclosed this to journalists in an interview.

Hon. Dasun said journalist should confirm any thing they are told about the activities of the House before going to press.

He said as the spokesman of the House his door was always open for anybody that wants to know about the House activities.

He called on the general public to disregard the news and see it as an unconfirmed rumour.

Meanwhile the House has screened and confirmed twenty two out of the twenty three commissioner nominees.

The spokesman of the House Hon. Philip Dasun while briefing journalist after the confirmation says the remaining nominee, Barr. Chrisantus Ahmadu is out of the country attending to state matters and when he is back he will take his turn of the screening.
