THE Plateau School for the Deaf Old Students Association (PSDOSA) is to celebrate its 42nd Anniversary and 40 million naira appeal fund.
This events which is slated for December 7, 2019 is contained in a press statement signed by the chairman of publicity committee, Mr. David King a copy of which was made available to SUNDAY STANDARD in Jos, Wednesday.
The statement said “ the event is slated for 7th December, 2019 at the school premises along Rukuba Road, Bassa”.
It added that dignitaries that would grace the occasion were “His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Barr Simon Lalong, His Excellency Da. Jonah Jang, Her Excellency Dame Pauline Tallen, Hon. Speaker Abok Ayuba, Senator Hezekiah Dimka, Senator Ignatius Longjan and Senator Istifanus Gyang.
Others, the statement added were paramount rulers to include HRH Da Jacob Buba Gbong Gwom Jos, HRH Alhaji (Dr) Haruna Maikano, HRH Yakubu Chairman and HRH Chief Jauro Magaji.
He statement added that the 40 million naira appeal fund would also facilitate the release of the maiden edition of the Opportune Magazine, which would be the first journal to be published by a deaf organization in Africa.
PSODA said the money being solicited would also be used for the purchase of a school bus, renovation of the students’ dormitories, classrooms and dinning hall which are in deplorable conditions.
The association however, called on the general public to join them in this milestone project and to support the continual training of the deaf and hard of hearing children in Nigeria.”
