THE Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abok Ayuba said the House would support any organization that are aims at addressing water and sanitation issues in the state.

The Speaker stated this when the Social Network for Water and Sanitation, led by the Plateau State Project Officer, Mr. Japhet Daling paid him a courtesy visit.

The Speaker stressed that the issue of water and sanitation was very important to the healthy living of everybody and urged them to carry their advocacy to the rural areas to reduce the danger of any disease outbreak.

Speaking earlier, Mr. Daling appealed to the members of the House to prioritize the issue of water and sanitation in their constituencies as that will go a long way in improving the health standard of their people.

In a related development the Deputy Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Sale Shehu Yitmong has appealed to the Bogghom people in Kanam Local Government for unity so that they can enjoy democracy dividends.

Hon. Yitmong made the appeal when exco and members of Bogghom Development Association paid him a visit in his office.

He said it is only when they unite that development can take place in their motherland.

He assured them of his support in any developmental project they want to undertake.

While responding to their demand for the completion of their National Secretariat in Jos, the Deputy Speaker said they should look for a temporary site that will serve as the National Secretariat and Jos branch secretariat and he will foot the bill.

In a remark the Minority Leader of the House, Hon. Peter Ibrahim Gyendeng commended them for identifying with the lawmaker which is a sign of good relationship between the deputy speaker and his constituents.

The spokesman of the  association, Mr. Yakubu Dashe said the visit was to congratulate the lawmaker and to thank the House member for finding their son worthy to re-elect him as the deputy speaker of the 9th Assembly.
