PLATEAU State Governor is to identify innovative talents in the state with the view to exploiting the full potentials for the benefit of the state.

Governor Simon Lalong disclosed this when the 2019 winner of the National Micro Small and Medium Scale Enterprises Award of Excellence in Technology Innovation, Luka Zang Bot paid him a visit to showcase some of his innovative works at Government House, Rayfield, Jos last Thursday.

Lalong represented by his Deputy, Prof. Sonni Tyoden congratulated the award winner for doing the state and the country proud.

Governor Lalong pointed out that in the history of invention, no inventor has ever been a PhD holder adding that 90 percent of inventors in the world do not have a doctorate degree.

The governor maintained that government will ensure that people with innate talents were discovered for the benefit of humanity.

He assured that government would do its best to identify talents to fully exploit them and challenged other parents to support their children to discover their potentials.

Earlier, the award winner, Luka Zang had explained that he was at Government House to formally introduce himself to the government and his innovative talents that earned him the National Award of Excellence in Technology Innovation at the Presidential Villa Abuja last August.

The award recipient said  it came after years of pains taking research and commitment to identifying ways of making life easier for people all over the world.

Among products designed at the Zang Technologies Ltd, according to him were a high capacity power bank and a sand sieving machine adding that they were still trying to perfect an automatic candle quencher.

According to the young inventor, the power bank has been found to be a cost effective alternative to electricity and critical remedy to the problem of insecurity.

He explained that the product were made along with computer food mouse for people with disability from electronic waste which reduces global warning and desertification and other problems associated with.

Zang also said the said sieving machine was a great speed booster for building construction while the candle quencher was expected to reduce the rate of fire disaster caused by abandoned candle lights.

He however, sought for partnership with government to enable him bring his vision and ideas to light stressing that there were many ways government could help businesses grow without necessarily having to waste resources which will go a long way give opportunity to earn legitimately  while giving back value to the state.

The partnership with the government according to him would be through a contract to mass produce such items which were of high quality and grow to compete with those outside the country.
