GOVERNOR Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State has commended the Church for continuously interceding for peace and development of the state.

Lalong gave the commendation when the Bishop of Methodist Church of Nigeria, Jos Diocese, Rev. Thomas Tsav paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Rayfield, Jos Thursday.

The Jos Diocese of Methodist Church of Nigeria has Branchin, Gombe, Taraba, Adamawa and Nasarawa States under its control.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Prof. Sonni Tyoden appreciated the visit said the prayers and continued preaching on harmonious co-existence by the Church on the Plateau Was what has been sustaining the state through its period of challenges.

He promised to work with the Methodist Church and other Churches to meet the yearnings of the citizens.

Bishop, Methodist Church of Nigeria, Jos diocese, Rev. Thomas Tsav said the Methodist church on the Plateau appreciated the open leadership style of Governor Lalong and were happy to identify with his administration.

He said the prelate and the apostolic head of Methodist Church of Nigeria, Prelate Sunday Chukwameka Uche would be embarking  on visitation of the church in Northern States including Plateau hoping that the visit would attract blessing for the state.
