GOVERNOR Simon Lalong of Plateau State has urged believers to be appreciative to God in all circumstances.

The governor stated this on Sunday during a thanksgiving service in honour of Justice Gedeliah Fonyon of the Plateau State High Court 13 Shendam which took place at Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Church Hwolshe in Jos.

The thanksgiving service in honour of Justice Gedeliah Fonyon brought together dignitaries from the judiciary, executive arms of the government, traditional rulers some local government chairmen and well wishers to celebrate God’s faithfulness in his life throughout his service with the Plateau State Government.

Lalong while congratulating the celebrant on his elevation to the Justice of the High Court, said the grace of God was key to his success in life.

Represented by his Deputy, Prof. Sonni Tyoden urged, Justice Fonyon to continue with his hard work and service in the fear of God.

Chief Judge of Plateau State, justice Gyang Dakwak said the success of the celebrant was as a result of his hard work and commitment to service.

The celebrant, Justice Gedeliah Fonyon who is currently of High Court 13, Shendam who was emotional as a result of the support given to him noted that thanksgiving was for the gift of salvation and strength throughout his life.

In a sermon entitled: “Out of the Shadow of waiting” Rev. Titus Yohanna said the most difficult thing in life was waiting and urged the congregation to exit the spirit of patience in order.

There were good will messages from the Long Gamai of Shendam, Martins Shaldas III, Chairman ECWA DCC, Jos, Rev. Barry Fidelis among others.

High points of the occasion was special prayer for the celebrant and his family and thanksgiving offering.
