A clergyman Rev. Dr. Iliya J Kachalla, has been observed that the surest way of achieving joy, peace and eternal salvation for every Christian is through total submission to Jesus Christ and provision of greater service to humanity.
Rev. Dr. Kachalla made this assertion while delivering a sermon at the 90th Birthday celebration of Mama Adeh Laraba Gyede Giyan (Mother of the former Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi) Dr. Joshua Ndom Giyan held at the COCIN LCC Ntoso Kwakwi Gamawiru in Riyon Local Government area of Plateau State during the weekend.
According to him, Christians must always ensure that they take refuge or seek for protection from God whom he believed has all the capacities, abilities and where withal to always be with them especially for those that have an unshakable of firm believe with him and those that work assiduously in spreading his gospel in order to win souls for the Christ.
He therefore congratulated Mama Adeh Laraba for wisely spending a reasonable part of her life in the work of evangelism which he described as a “major source of her joy, happiness and success in both her family life and other social and human endeavours”.
The clergyman who used the occasion to tasked Christian faithful on the need to always endeavor to live an exemplary and faithful lives, admonished them on the need to build a greater relationship with their creator and fellow human beings, just as the celebrant, Mama Adeh Laraba did with a view to achieving eternal salvation and build a prosperous life here on earth.
In his testimony on behalf of members of the family, the eldest son, Dr. Joshua Giyan Ndom described their mother as highly caring, hardworking, Godly and a great source of inspiration, who has impacted positively on their lives by putting them and even others on the right track of reality and faithfulness.
Speaking about their late father retired Rev. Gyede Gyan, Dr. Ndom described him as hardworking, committed and disciplinarian who collectively worked together to build and make them what they are today and prayed God Almighty to reward her and grant him an eternal rest.
In her remarks the celebrant, Mama Adeh Laraba Gyede attributed her success to her dedication and commitment to evangelism, which she said has strengthened and also assisted her in injecting good moral values to both her children and the society which she lives in.
While congratulating and thanking all her children for their acts of caring, she prayed God to continue to bless and guide them and all that they have contributed in one way or the other to her success.
In his solidarity remarks the Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, Dr. Yahaya Baba Adamu congratulated the Giyan family for celebrating their mother which he described as a true demonstration of honour and humanity saying that their efforts in reciprocating her good gesture showed that they have hold her in high esteem.
The Medical Director who led a delegation of the Management team of the FMC, Keffi spoke through the Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Christopher Edeh tasked Nigerians to always endeavor to celebrate and remember their parents whom he described as treasures that should always be preserved, respected and be given the desired respect as a means of making themselves great and even enhance their health status.
Also in his fatherly remarks a onetime Minister of Sports and Youths Development Hon. Damishi Sango described the gesture of the Giyan family for celebrating their mother at 90 as a great mark of honor which every responsible person should endeavour to key into with a view to receiving peaceful end.
While congratulating them and the celebrant for achieving such a wonderful age in life, he tasked children to always serve their creator and be obedient in the service of their parents.
