The Osu Ajiri of Edge Chiefdom in Nasarawa local government area of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Halilu Bala Usman has called for the creation of two more chiefdoms out of the present edge chiefdom.

This according to him would provide for good and administrative connivance as well as ensure more inclusions in both the traditional and the modern style of public administration for the people.

Making the call when he received prominent people of his chiefdom who paid him a traditional homage, the traditional ruler observed that since the chiefdom is the largest in the state it should be splited to ensure  good and administrative convinces.

He contended that the creation of additional chiefdom would help significantly in addressing the present security challenges he delving the area as many authorities are included in the act of vigilance and responsibility thus help to overcome the challenges effectively.

Alhaji Usman who is a onetime Deputy Governor of the old Plateau State however assured that on his part he would continue to bring forth his health of experience to bear in providing to the people a responsible and caving leadership for them to have a sense of belonging.

While commending his people for their peaceful co-existence unity and harming he tasked them to continue with such spirit with a view to attract government’s patronage and meaningful development projects and programmes.

He used the occasion to pledge his support and co-operation and that of his people to the present administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule and President Muhammadu Buhari and prayed for their success in taking both the state and the country to the next level.

Earlier the community have expressed their support to the traditional ruler, the State and Federal government and their resolve to continue to live in peace, unity and harmony with a view to attract government’s patronage, project and programmed that would enhance their socio-economic futures.
