Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong says the potential of the young inventor Jerry Mallo will be encouraged and harnessed through funding and partnership with financiers to take his inventions to the next level.
Governor Lalong disclosed this while unveiling Jerry Mallo’s latest invention, a sports car christened “Bennie Purrie” at Transcope Hilton Hotel,Abuja,Thursday.
The sports car is the second major breakthrough of Jerry Mallo who rose to limelight after the tractor he invented which clinched the presidency’s star price in the twenty- eighteen small and medium enterprise award.
Governor Simon Lalong who was delighted to unveil the red and black made in Plateau sports car said the state Government is partnering with Jerry Mallo towards finding technological solutions to some challenges affecting food production in Nigeria.
Governor Lalong said the state government has so far empowered more than thirty thousand youths, women and people living with disabilities after the launch of its skills acquisition programme through the Plateau State Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency, PLASMEDA and other strategic partners.
Jerry Mallo, had earlier stressed that he is one of the products of Plateau State Government’s drive to boost local enterprise through PLASMEDA in partnership with the Federal Government.
Mallo said his company, Bennie Agros, is creating agricultural technologies designed to overcome the peculiar challenges of farmers in Nigeria.
