Borno Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum has visited the headquarters of the Bank of Industry in Abuja to shop for support in the area of empowering citizens of Borno State to make them self employed and have means of livelihoods.
The Governor, met with the bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Olukayode Pitan and top executives of the bank, where he made a special case for citizens of Borno state following the challenges of insurgency which has made the citizens lose their means of livelihoods.
The CEO of the bank, assured the Governor of support for Borno people and that the bank has special recognition for the state due to the peculiar challenges the state is facing at the moment.
Earlier Governor Zulum,was at the Presidential villa for a high level meeting, before proceeding to the bank of industry where he had a scheduled appointment.
His engagements in Abuja is expected to include a follow up with different establishments of the federal government to pursue developmental needs of Borno state and try to establish new avenues that will benefit the state.
