THE Senate has read riot act to some ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) that have failed to submit their audited accounts.

This is sequel to the failure of 18 out of the 25 MDAS to responds to seven day ultimatum earlier given to them to submit their audited accounts by the senate.

Against this back drop senate issued another strong warning to these agencies of government to make available to it the reports in the overall interest of the country or would be brought to public Arena.

The upper Chamber in a statement by its chairman on public account Senator Mathew Urhoghide (PDP Edo South) Senate once again read a riot act to ministries, Department and Agencies that have failed to disclosed their financial transaction as stipulated by the constitution.

According to the lawmaker, agencies like the central back of Nigeria (CBN) Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) and Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC) failed to hounoured the seven day ultimatum given to them to forward to the committee their audited account.

The chairman listed other defaulting agencies to include, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCDA) Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) National agency for Science and Engineering and Infrastructure (NASENI) Nigeria Investment Promotion Council (NIPC) National Space Research and Development agency among others.
