The newly sworn in Uchu Ninzo of Gudi, in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State Chief Solomon Danbaki Habubakar has described the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi and other developmental projects going on in Gudi town as awesome, and commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for initiating the projects.

The Uchu Ninzo made this known while speaking to newsmen shortly after he was turbaned by HRH, Alhaji Sule Bawa the Emir of Gudi adding that the governor’s gestures in Gudi was geared towards developing the ancient and historical town.

“The fact is that Gudi is the home town of the present Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule. First I want to appreciate him because I have seen the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi here in Gudi and with the establishment of this Faculty here it will create more employments for our youths and the educated ones will have the opportunity to get positions in various capacities.

“I will also like to use this medium to thank my father and the father of Gudi Chiefdom, HRH. Alhaji Sule Bawa for the privilege he has given me to serve the people of Ninzo. I wish him long life and prosperity on the throne. It will also interest you to know that I inherited the Uchun Ninzo of Gudi owing to the fact that my grandfather Malam Habu Yakubu was the first during the native authority era  followed by my  father Danbaki Habu all of blessed memories”, he remarked.

On the controversial ownership of Gudi, Chief Solomon said, “The Barebera, Rindra and Ninzo were the first to settle in Gudi. The Central Mission School CMS and the ERCC lands which they are using up to date my grandfather gave it to them for free because of his passion for education. So for peace to continue to prevai, irrespective of many tribes that are staying here in Gudi, I urge all to tolerate and should also learn to accept one another, we should unite in order to develop Gudi. As Nigerians we should love our homeland and country as whole”.
