The National Vice Chairman, All progressives People Congress (APC) North Central Zone, has joined the list of numerous sympathizers who paid a condolence visits to the Plateau State Government over the demise of Senator Ignatius Longjan, the member representing Southern senatorial zone at the senate.
The Zonal Executive Committee of the party, which was led by Alh. Ahmed Wamba Suleiman said they were also in the state to apart from that condole the government and people of the state over the recent killings in some communities in Bokkos and Mangu local government areas (LGA’s) that led to the loss of lives and properties.
In his eulogy, the APC leader described the Late Senator Longjan as a leader in Nigeria with an outstanding character, who lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.
While encouraging the Governor to be strong in the midst of the challenges that has affected the state, the party stalwart said “although life has improved in both social and economic sectors in the state, the recent incidences could truncate the achievements he has recorded so far”.
Responding, Gov. Simon Bako Lalong who is also the Chairman, Northern Governors Forum said before his demise, the deceased was doing well in the Senate, lamenting that his death was not only a huge loss to the party but at the national level.
