THE  Plan International Nigeria, an Independent development and humanitarian non-profit organization based in Abuja, is set to organize a start-up workshop on Middle-Belt youth Peace Building Academy Project for Plateau and Kaduna States youths today.

The workshop which would be at the Silk-Suite Hotel Zarmaganda Rayfield road Jos. starts by 9am, as disclosed by the statement signed by the organization’s Country Director, Prof. Hussaini Abdu, and made available to THE NIGERIA STANDARD.

According to the statement “the Project seeks to build through a two-years programme that strengthens the technical peace-building and project Management Skills’ of young leaders in 10 communities of Plateau and Kaduna States and work with them to launch initiatives that build tolerance in their respective homes communities.

“We work with Local partners as implementing partners for the 2-years duration of this project. In order to advance a common understanding of the project, Plan International Nigeria is organizing a start-up workshop to deepen understanding of the goal and specific objectives of the project by all stakeholders and present the means of achieving the objectives.

“We believe in the power and potential of every child, but know this is often suppressed by poverty, exclusion and discrimination. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity,” he highlighted.
