Federal Government has been told to come up with standard security architecture that will bring to an end the killing in the country.

President of the Berom Educational and Cultural Development Organization (BECO) Da Gyaang Dudu Dalyop said this in an interview with THE NIGERIA STANDARD at  BECO Headquarters Jos, recently.

He also called on the Federal Governments, state and local government to stop playing politics with the lives of citizens who are daily being killed.

According to him former Governor Jonah Jang initiated the “Operation Rainbow”’ a security outfit, but was later politicized where it was infused with police amongst other security apparatus, making their performance ineffective and inefficient.

So, we should stop deceiving ourselves! When we play politics with human lives, this is what we will be facing. The thing is biting harder and nobody is safe anywhere in this Country. So, let us be sincere and come up with a sincere and strong position and review the security architecture of Nigeria. It is faulty and no-longer workable.

“We have too much of enforcement with little impact. We have to device another means to nip in the bud the security challenge we are faced with. This is 21st century and we need security networking and communication, because security is now down electronically, where before a crime takes place, there should be a measure of stopping it and stop playing politics with the lives of innocent Nigerians”’ he enthused.

Da Dalyop stressed, that it was high time we stopped    electing president or governors who only go for sympathy visits and cannot proffer solution to any impending security threat to their lives of his or her citizens hence the need for us to ask why morals are degenerating.

He appealed to the Federal Government to come up with a standard security operating procedures and stop deceiving ourselves or playing politics with our lives.

The president commended Governor Simon Lalong, for the step taken, but wondered if there were legislation on ground to back the step taken and called on him to call a spate a spate and name those attacking our communities as terrorists and not herders, farmer clash any more, because they were on a mission to wipe out our people and take over our land.
