The Kogi State government has reiterated its commitment to continue to embark on viable and sustainable projects that would boost the well being of its citizens and provision of job opportunities for the unemployed youths in the state.
The Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Idris disclosed this at a meeting with the APC youth leaders across the state who paid him a courtesy call in his office on Thursday.
The commissioner assured that the APC government in the state will continue to design policies and programmes that will be beneficial to the youths to help them achieve their dreams in their chosen areas of specialisation
Idris also promised that the state government would not relent in providing the youths with financial assistance to boost their businesses as well as creation of more employment opportunities for them.
While thanking them for their visit, the Commissioner urged them to keep supporting the present administration in its quest to improve on the living standard of the people.
He assured them of the government’s commitment to the Cassava revolution farm in the State, adding that an MOU has been signed with the Central Bank and the programme will commence very soon.
Earlier, the Forum Chairman, Mallam Saidu Dauda said the purpose of their visit was to congratulate the Commissioner on his recent reappointment and pledge their unflinching support towards the success of Governor Bello-led administration.
