The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his siblings have been advised to uphold the good name and legacies of their late mother, Hajia Hauwau Bello
The Chief Imam of Ebiraland, Alhaji Salihu Abere gave the admonition at the three Day Fidau Prayers in honour of the deceased held at the Governor’s residence in Okene on Tuesday.
The Chief Imam also challenged Bello and his siblings to continue to remain united as ever before to enable them live up to expectations in tackling the responsibilities of the family their late mother left behind.
The Clergy while praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed mother, noted that the crowd at the event showed that she lived a humble and fulfilled life.
Among the personalities that graced the three day fidau prayers were, the Chief of Staff to the president, Abba Kyari, Ministers of Special Duties, Information, FCT(State), Foreign Affairs (State) and Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.
Also at the event were the chairman and vice chairman of the traditional council in Kogi state, HRM, Michael Ameh-Oboni11, Atta’Igala and HRM, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim, Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, State Deputy Governor,Edward David Onoja and Senior Special Assistants on Security Matters to the Governor in the twenty-one local government areas
Others included the Secretary to the Kogi state government,Mrs Folashade Arike , Speaker of Kogi Assembly, Matthew Kolawole, Commissioners and Senior Special Assistants and state Assembly legislators.
The Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello thanked all for gracing the occasion, saying that his mother lived a life worthy of emulation.
