Mavin’s fast riser, Rema, has been named in a list of 27 as one of the acts to make the year 2020 better.
Named by GQ, a magazine based in New York, it placed Rema alongside Doja Cat, American rapper Roddy Ricch, Ari Lennox and several others.
GQ, formerly known as ‘Gentlemen’s Quarterly,’ focuses on fashion, style, and culture for men, though articles on food, movies, fitness, sex, music, travel, sports, technology, and books are also featured.
The magazine mentioned how Rema is one of Obama’s favorite. You would recall that “Iron Man” by the Mavin star featured on the ex-American president’s playlist.
“Arguably the first and most important thing you need to know about Nigerian artist Rema is that he’s already been endorsed by Barack Obama, who featured his track “Iron Man” on his 2019 playlist.
Even though the pandemic coronavirus has slowed down a lot of entertainment activities, Rema still remains unshaken. With tracks such as Woman and Ginger Me, the rave Mavin acts is definitely making 2020 better for music lovers.
